Tokina 11-16mm Review Compared to Nikkor
A certain Tokina 11-16mm review praises this lens as the fastest and best ultra-wide zoom lens out there for Nikon cameras. The reviewer claims that the Tokina works even better than the expensive 12-24 Nikkor lens, which was designed for this camera. I had to test this out for myself, and after trying out both lenses on the same Nikon DX body, I must say that I tend to agree with the reviewer. This lens is very fast, and produces sharp images across all f-stops. In darker environments, the f2.8 comes in very handy, and you don’t need to sacrifice image quality by adjusting the camera’s ISO. Along with a very reasonable price tag, I can really recommend the Tokina to any landscape photographer, real estate agent or architect out there. This lens really gives you value for money, and produces superb images. I have also found that the distortion of this lens is way easier for me to correct in Photoshop, than that of the Nikkor.
So is Graffiti a Crime or Art?
Graffiti may be one of the most unique types of art. I have some Banksy prints in my home, and I find them inspiring. It has to be done in secrecy for fear of repercussions, yet be able to be seen by person passing by. Graffiti most of the time displays a strong political theme behind it, yet for some reason is seen as scandalous or outright criminal. The criminal thought behind it does have to do with the arts location as usually it is printed on a place of business or public property. The art itself should not be thought of as criminal, just the location of it. A Personal Sigma 70mm Macro Overview
I love this Sigma 70mm Macro lens and I am a long time user of this lens. I found the picture quality to be super sharp and it gives out beautiful color and out of focus blur as well. The focus limiter is very helpful as well for non macro shooting conditions. It is very well of Sigma to have come up with this feature. The auto focus vibrates a bit when it is turned off, which can be quite annoying at times. There is also a need to shift to manual focus to be able to make minor adjustments in focus. This is fairly typical for any Macro lens use. The barrel of this lens also extends out and I really think that Sigma can make further improvement here. When the next version of this lens comes out, I would think it will have an HSM motor as well as a fixed, internal focusing mechanism which will be absolutely amazing.
